For your consideration is a Navajo Native American sand cast Naja and Carico Lake turquoise necklace. This necklace features a wonderful sand cast and polished squash Naja with Carico Lake turquoise gemstone prominently set in a shadow box accented by silver braided rope. Carico Lake turquoise is named after the location of its mine on a dried up lake bed in a high, cool area of Lander County, Nevada The clear, iridescent, spring-green color is due to its zinc content and is highly unique and collectible. The necklace is strung with graduated Carico Lake turquoise spheres. Towards the clasp there are four silver accent beads. The necklace is secured by a loop and hook clasp. The Naja measures 2 ½” x 2 ½” and the necklace when unclasped measures 18 ¾”.
