Held in this lot for bidding is an exceptional, signed Navajo Native American Indian pendant necklace. The pendant and 20-strand, liquid silver chain are crafted of sterling silver. The pendant is signed on the back "Navajo - Bear Paw", and shows a Navajo pictorial hallmark, in the form of a bear. The sterling silver setting for the pendant utilizes five intricately tooled leafs, braided silver twists, and additional silver beadlets. The pendant shows off a central bear claw, capped with a brass colored cap, and further accented with a bear paw shadowbox, with a small nugget of turquoise in the center. Flanking the bear claw, you'll see a large nugget of oxblood coral, and another turquoise nugget set into a brass colored flower. Finishing off the pendant is a beautiful nugget of sleeping beauty turquoise. The piece is in good condition overall, showing tightly set stones, and a nice warm silver patina. When unclasped and stretched out, the necklace measures 29 3/4" long. The pendant alone measures 2 5/8" tall, and 1 3/8" wide.
