Navajo Geometric Jar by Dine' Kevin Williams. Kevin is the grandson of noted potter Rose Williams. This large jar was created in the traditional coil and pinch manner, coated with hot pinion pitch to seal the pottery which gives the piece the distinctive red-brown color found in Navajo pottery. The black smoke clouds are known as ''fire clouds'' and considered blessings from the creator and especially prized. The jar is hand-etched in traditional patterns. Signed ''Kevin W. Dine''', measuring 6 1/2'' high by 8 1/2'' wide. There is a repair on the edge.
