The lot features an original Navajo Native American Indian rug. The rug is from circa 1880-1910 and shows overall good condition. The piece has a Ganado pattern. Located southwest of Crystal in the geographical center of the Navajo Reservation the Ganado style of weaving was established by Lorenzo Hubbell in late 1800. The motif generally consists of one or more stepped diamonds or stepped and embellished triangles. The colors consist of a white base with double diamond motif in red with a brown border and various yellow hourglass symbols. The piece was hand spun and woven with organic dyes. Measures 49.5"x36.5"
