For your bidding pleasure is a Fred Harvey era Navajo Native American Kingman Turquoise and sterling silver bracelet from the 1920’s. Fred Harvey jewelry was made for the Anglo tourist along the Santa Fe railroad lines, in hotels and retail shops run primarily by the Fred Harvey Company. Harvey hired Navajo silversmith to create decorative symbolized jewelry for the tourist trade. Fred Harvey era jewelry is widely collected and sought after. It is easy to wear, and generally with a fair amount of ornamentation and stamping. This bracelet features a single cabochon of Kingman Turquoise set in a shadow box. The bracelet is hand stamped with the sacred Navajo whirling logs, arrows and thunderbird design. This style of jewelry became popular after Fred’s passing. The interior circumference measures approximately 7”.
