This is an excellent Navajo Native American Indian early coin silver and turquoise First Phase sandcast concho belt. The piece is from circa 1860-1890's and shows overall well preserved museum quality condition. The buckle is signed, "BT". The belt shows alternating round scalloped and butterfly conchos on a black leather belt. The piece has copper loops across each concho. The buckle has a shewn due to many years of use. This is one of the finest concho belts we have sold. Provenance: From a very large Native American Indian Jewelry private collection in Billings, Montana and was appraised in 1990 as a First Phase 1860-1880 Coin Silver Concho for over $3000 (appraisal not included). Belt measures overall 42"L with a 2.5" diameter buckle and 2 3/8"L conchos. Belt is 1 3/8"W.
