Offer for sale is a Navajo Eye Dazzler rug. Traditionally woven by Navajo artist Dorlene Porozon in her home town of Freeitllaud. This eye dazzler rug captures the design and striking colors of the Eye Dazzler period rugs produced between 1880-1900. The influx of Germantown three- and four-ply yarn entered the Navajo weaving story in the 1880s. Its brilliant colors, and the Navajo weavers’ thirst for this color, added style to the sedate “Chief’s Patterns.” Germantown yarn gave birth to the “Eye Dazzler.” Brilliant reds, greens, yellows, blues, and more found their way into blankets and wall hangings. In this rug you can still see the strong resemblance to the " Chief's pattern" but also the large amount of color hues and captivating geometric design. The rug is in good condition. Also included in the lot is a rug hanger with Native American style carving. Measures: 39" L x 33" W
