This is an original hand knotted and dyed Navajo Native American Blanket. The piece was owned and used by Chief Little Dog, Last Pikunni War Chief, of all the Blackfeet. His grandson Harve' Little Dog was the keeper of the family possessions and passed away in 2010. This came directly from the family and was owned by Chief Little Dog. His warlike activities spanned an area from the Blackfoot territories to the Colorado river and he was the leader of the Black-Patched-Moccasin Band. He died in 1916. Very Rarely Seen Navajo Chiefs Blanket. The blanket is from the turn of the century. Very RARE. The Chiefs Blanket measures 41"x82". Picture shown of Chief Little Dog not included.
