Featured in this lot is this massive Bear Claw and Kingman turquoise red branch coral squash from Navajo artist Kenny Ray McNeilly Jr. The squash features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver, Kingman Turquoise, Red Branch Coral, and bear claw construction that shows a double strand design that shows the smaller black bear claws on the single blossom pendants and the central pendant showing a much larger MASSIVE pair of bear claws. There are a total of nine oval cut Kingman Turquoise cabochon set into the pendants with the central stone showing the biggest with ornate pendant frames and the central pendant showing the likeness of a charging Grizzly bear. The squash shows a classic Old Pawn setting with graduated large silver spot nuggets with stamping and feather leaf design set with a large, polished cabochon of Kingman Turquoise with two Bear Claws making up the naja with deep red Branch Coral atop the sterling silver encasement and in between each a three-dimensional growling Grizzly Bear sterling silver effigy fetish. The back of the central naga pendant is marked as follows: Kenny Ray McNeilly Jr. - STERLING. The condition of this Navajo bear claw squash necklace is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp is 27 3/4" and the central pendant measures 4 3/8" x 3 1/2". The collective weight of this necklace is 328.3g.
