Four pieces of gold ore specimens from the Goodshaw vein. Two are 1 x 1", one is 2 x 1/2, one is small.

Long time Bodie resident Bobby Bell (son of noted Bodie miner Lester Bell) located some ground that was an offshoot of the Goodshaw vein and sunk a shaft in the early to mid 1900’s. It wasn’t successful, but he did mine a few boxes full of high grade. When Bobby left Bodie, he moved his big machine shop and his Bodie collection to Luning, NV. These rocks were purchased from Bobby Bell’s estate along with other mining equipment.
