Two 14 karat gold medals from the Native Sons of the Golden West: 1) Charter Member Sequoia Chapter 160; blue and gold enameled, 14 mm square; 1.8 grams; engraved on reverse: "E.S. Batten / 1930". 2) Native Sons Parlor 11 Modesto; red, white and blue enameled; engraved "Oscar A. Buletti / Past / President / 1.1.1926 to 1.1.1927; 18 x 30 mm; 3.8 grams. The Native Sons of the Golden West (NSGW) is a fraternal service organization founded in the U.S. state of California in 1875, dedicated to historic preservation and documentation of the state's historic structures and places, the placement of historic plaques, and other charitable functions in California.
