Native American Maricopa Pottery, 2 bowls (one bowl has been glued and missing small piece) and 1 vase (has been glued), 2 bowls by Ida Redbird, Vase is by Mabel Sunn...Mabel Sunn, b. 1898-d.1980. One of the original members of the Maricopa Pottery Cooperative formed in 1937 by Elizabeth Hart, Mabel Sunn along with Ida Redbird and Mary Juan were encouraged to improve the quality of the pottery to an art form rather than just make trinkets for the tourists. Mabel is also the subject of Mary Fernald's wonderful book ''Dirt for Making Things'' which explores the 20th century history of pottery making by the Maricopa Indians., 1 bowl was chip out of rim, largest measures approx. 7 7/8'' x 5.5''.
