Manufactured between 1864 and 1870. Less than a third of the total production was equipped with the combined loading gate and extractor. The serial number is marked on the bottom of the barrel and the rear edge of the cylinder is marked "D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JANUARY 5, 1864" . Matching assembly number "HH 80" is marked on the frame under the grips, on the inside of each grip panel and on the back of the barrel lug. The barrel is equipped with a blade sight, showing light border engraving and a burst pattern at the breech. Frame is scroll and punch dot engraved with a scallop border below the cylinder and burst designs on the recoil shields. Scrollwork on the gold finished cylinder and there is an ejector on the right hand side. Fitted with smooth walnut grips.

Condition:
Fine. The barrel retains 85% original silver finish which has darkened with age, with some minor flaking and blistering. The frame retains 60% original silver finish with an attractive aged mustard patina on the exposed brass. A deep brown patina is visible on the cylinder, with strong gold in the engraving. The grips good as repaired, with a patch on the right side and overall a few mild dents. Mechanically good.
