Produced between 1864 and 1870, less than a third of the total production was equipped with the combined loading gate and extractor. The barrel is equipped with a blade sight, showing light border engraving and a burst pattern at the breech. Frame is scroll and punch dot engraved, with scrollwork on the gold finished cylinder and the ejector on the right hand side. Grips are smooth bird's head rosewood.

Condition: Fine with 50% plus of the original silver finish. The barrel retains the lion's share of its finish, having turned an antique patina with some gentle flaking concentrated on the lug and left side, showing mixed brown steel. Around half of the original aged silver is present on the frame, darkest in the protected areas, with an attractive mustard colored patina on the visible brass. A deep brown patina is visible on the cylinder, with strong gold in the engraving. Grips good as repaired, with a patch on the right side and a few mild dents. Extractor in good order.
