Jewish financier (1840–1915) who succeeded his father, Lionel, as head of the family’s London banking operations. Ink signature, “N. M. Rothschild, London,” on an off-white 6 x 1.5 slip clipped from a financial document concerning an interest payment of £41.8.9. Two vertical folds passing through single letters of the signature, a few tiny edge tears, and slight show-through from mounting remnants to reverse, otherwise fine condition.
