First mortgage bond for the Selma Marion Memphis Railroad Company in the amount of $1,000, signed at the conclusion by Nathan Bedford Forrest as the company"™s president, and signed again by him on the reverse. Additionally endorsed on the reverse by Governor William Hugh Smith of Alabama. The bond retains 33 of its coupons. In fine condition.
