Desirable vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 studio portrait of Wood at the start of her career, signed in fountain pen as a child, “Thanks for all the nice stories and pictures. Natalie Wood, 1946.” In fine condition. Wood earned her first credited movie role in the 1946 film Tomorrow Is Forever, starring as a German orphan opposite Orson Welles and Claudette Colbert. The following year, Wood became one of the biggest child stars in Hollywood with the release of Miracle on 34th Street. An adorable early portrait of the tragic actress.
