The present photograph is titled ‘Life’ and depicts the profile of a naked young woman sitting on a bed. Her head leans forward and almost touches the bent knees, so that her brown long hair falls like a curtain to hide her face. With her hands she touches a watermelon that is put between her legs, surrounded by numerous cubes of red watermelon flesh. The picture is an impressive example of the artist’s approach to encourage the viewer to think about gender roles and attributes of women.
