One of basketball’s most important innovators (1896–1995). Playing most of his career with the Original Celtics, Holman's extraordinary skills, a deft passer and brilliant floor leader, were innovative for the era, and made the Celtics virtually unbeatable. While barnstorming with the Celtics, Holman also handled the duties of coaching City College of New York. Small 2 x 4 photo affixed to a City College of New York postcard, signed across the image (spilling onto the card) in fountain pen “Sincerely, Nat Holman, C.C.N.Y.” Postmarked June 26, 1947, in New York City. In very good condition, with postal cancellations touching the end of the image and faint toning.
