Baron Louis Sebastian Grundler, Military Governor of Paris, signs a Certificate of Domicile, on behalf of Colonel De DeStiere. The document is dated 24 October 1814, the year Napoleon went into exile in Elba and Louis XVIII was restored to the French throne. Grundler, who had fought in the Napoleonic Wars against the Russians, signs, ''Baron Grundler''. Minor paper loss to 4'' x 6.5'' two page card style document, not affecting signature. Overall very good condition.
