<B>Napoleon Bonaparte Document Signed</B></I> "<I>Napoleon</B></I>", one page with docketing, 23" x 18", location unknown, September 10, 1811. Large partially printed vellum certificate issued by Napoleon Bonaparte as Emperor and naming Philippe Jules Van Zuylen Van Nyevelt a Count. The document is imprinted with an engraving of the Imperial French eagle and incorporates a beautiful hand-painted coat-of-arms for the House of Van Zuylen Van Nyevelt. A substantial "Napoleon" signature flows across the lower right corner of this piece. With an original custom document tin measuring 20" long x 2" diameter and a tinned 5" red wax Imperial Seal having a positively Byzantine-looking Napoleon enthroned on the obverse. All items in fine condition with expected aging. The Netherlands were annexed by the French in 1810 and remained under Napoleonic control until 1813.
