Napoleon Bonaparte Document Signed "Bonaparte". One page, partially printed, 8.5" x 11", ca. 1800. A large engraving of of a fanciful Minerva (or personification of France) dominates the top half of this official document. Since Bonaparte is here titled as General and First Consul of the Republic, the item pre-dates his 1804 coronation as Emperor. Untranslated in full, however the document twice mentions the English army. A large, exceedingly bold and desirable signature of one of history's most famous military leaders. Overall moderate toning with small splits on folds. Professionally matted and framed to 22" x 16.75" with an engraving of a young Napoleon.
