Remarkable, comprehensive collection of 55 baseballs signed by members of the inaugural 1962 New York Mets baseball team—including nearly the entire roster, plus coaches and broadcasters. The collection is highlighted by the All-Stars and Hall of Famers who found themselves on the historic club—third base coach Rogers Hornsby, manager Casey Stengel, outfielder Richie Ashburn, first baseman Gil Hodges, and broadcaster Ralph Kiner. Many are accompanied by certificates of authenticity, as indicated in the list.

Includes one multi-signed '62 Mets reunion baseball, signed by 19 members of the ream: Jay Hook, Frank Thomas, Cliff Cook, Ray Daviault, Craig Anderson, Al Jackson, Larry Foss, Joe Pignatano, Don Zimmer, Bob G. Miller, Ed Kranepool, Ed Bouchee, Chris Cannizzaro, Ken MacKenzie, Joe Christopher, Sammy Taylor, Sammy Drake, Jim Hickman, and Roger Craig.

Fifty-four single-signed baseballs are: Craig Anderson (PSA/DNA), Richie Ashburn (JSA), Gus Bell (JSA), Ed Bouchee, Chris Cannizzaro (PSA/DNA), Elio Chacón (PSA/DNA and JSA), Harry Chiti (PSA/DNA), Joe Christopher, Galen Cisco, Choo-Choo Coleman (JSA), Cliff Cook, Roger Craig (2, one with PSA/DNA), Ray Daviault (2), John DeMerit (PSA/DNA), Sammy Drake, Larry Foss (PSA/DNA), Joe Ginsberg, Solly Hemus (JSA), Rick Herrscher (PSA/DNA), Jim Hickman, Dave Hillman, Jay Hook (Steiner), Gil Hodges (JSA LOA), Rogers Hornsby (PSA/DNA and JSA LOAs), Willard Hunter (3, one with JSA and PSA), Al Jackson (Steiner), Sherman Jones, Rod Kanehl, Ralph Kiner (PSA/DNA), Ed Kranepool, Clem Labine (PSA/DNA), Hobie Landrith (PSA/DNA), Cookie Lavagetto (JSA), Ken MacKenzie, Felix Mantilla (PSA/DNA), Jim Marshall, Bob G. Miller, Bob L. Miller (PSA/DNA), Vinegar Bend Mizell (Beckett), Herb Moford (PSA/DNA), Bob Murphy (JSA), Charlie Neal, Joe Pignatano (PSA/DNA), Bobby Smith, Casey Stengel (JSA LOA), Sammy Taylor, Frank Thomas (Steiner), Marv Throneberry (PSA/DNA), Gene Woodling (PSA/DNA), and Don Zimmer (PSA/DNA).

In overall very good to fine condition, with a few minor stains to the modern baseballs, and heavier soiling to the Hornsby, Stengel, and Hodges balls; the Hodges also bears a few annotations in another hand. An outstanding, near-complete collection of 1962 Mets baseballs, requiring Moorhead (player), Ruffing (coach) and Kress (coach) to complete the set.
