New York inquest regarding the death of Thomas Nill. The 1799 document accounts for the New York Coroner, Charles Dickinson’s autopsy. Document is signed by witnesses who submitted first hand accounts under oath. One excerpt reads, “Very much liquor on Sunday night and supposed to have fallin, by which his death was occasioned…” One-page document measures 7.5” x 12.5” and is written in bright black ink on yellowed paper. Foxing and stains throughout and tear to left side, though otherwise in good condition.
