Goldfield , Esmeralda County. Letter from Bernard M. Baruch to George Wingfield. Typewritten on the Baruch letterhead, from his home in Georgetown, SC. Basically a quick note dashed off regarding an inquiry of Wingfield`s. The final sentence is telling, as Baruch writes Watch your step! He signs it Barnie. The cover has a 3 cent stamp, a South Carolina postmark, and Baruch`s Madison Ave. New York address imprinted on the reverse. Bernard Baruch was a well-know and respected Wall Street financier and banker, who advised Presidents Wilson and Roosevelt in matters of finance. George Wingfield (1876-1959) was a famous Nevada Banker and miner, having made a fortune in Tonopah and Goldfield. A tidy little piece of history.Spradling-Wingfield Estate HKA#62858
