1909-c1920-Large archive including an original 1909 10-year Nevada Copperbelt RR mortgage bond #723 for $500, signed by S.H. Curtis, president and W. C. Owens, treasurer. Other items include: a pad of unused Conductor’s Passenger Reports/Cash Fares Collected; a pad of unused Agent’s Daily Balance Sheets; a pad of unused Delivery Receipts; 7 Car Certificates; a Freight Bill; 7 Freight Switching Tickets, 1912; and 3 cancelled (punched) tickets, 1913. The line ran from Wabuska in Lyon County to Yerington. The town of Yerington was delighted, as it had been trying to finagle a railroad for years, even changing its original name of Pizen Switch first to Greenfield and then to Yerington as a gesture toward H.M. Yerington, founder of the Carson and Colorado Railroad [Railroads of Nevada and Eastern California, Vol. I, David F. Myrick, 1992, p. 214]. Wabuska served as the transfer point for the line from 1910 to 1947, in its role as a major carrier of copper ore [Ref: www.nps.gov/nr/travel/nevada/wab.htm]. Clint Maish Collection. HKA#58995
