Green print, crème paper. From Savage Mining Company to Comstock Lode Assay Office, Dr. E.A. Martin & Co., Proprietors. Corner C. And Taylor Sts. Printed by Enterprise. Written is two ore assays for two hundred. Paid b E.A. Martin Co. In small print at the top, "charges the same as the U.S. Branch Mint at Carson." On the reverse it is dated April 31, 188x, at an amount of two dollars. Henry Comstock claimed land as his own after he saw two other miners working. Gold quartz and thousands of dollars worth of silver ore were later discovered.
