Exceptional stock certificate issued to the president of the company, Alpheus Bull, and signed by him. Certificate No. 3520 for 4 shares at $500 each. Vignette is of Virginia City, Nevada in 1859. This vignette is one of the earliest known of Virginia City. Company seal is present in the bottom center of the certificate. A 25-cent brown adhesive revenue stamp is present on the left side of the certificate. The Gould & Curry was one of the most productive and well known mines on the Comstock producing gold silver from its time of incorporation on June 27th, 1860 well into the 1870s and later. Alpheus Bull, along with George Hurst and John Mackay, made his fortune on the Comstock beginning with the Gould & Curry.
