Lot of 2 stocks. 1) White Pine Mill and Mining Company of Nevada Stock; Incorporated in Pennsylvania. No. 119 issued on November 24, 1868 to A. D. Harlan for ten shares. Signed secretary S. Miller and president Jo H. Black. There are two vignettes: one in the top center of a mill above ground with miners working with animals to move ore. One in the bottom left corner shows an aligorical figure of two horses on either side of a sheild with an eagle above the shield. Text on a banner beneath the animals, "Virtue, Liberty, & Independence." Border and print is in purple. Seal is embossed at center right. U/C, printed by Jon Alexander. Measures 11"x7.5". There is a revenue stamp along the left side of the stock. Stamp has an image of George Washington and measures approximately 1"x2". "United States Inter Revenue, twenty five cts." 2) The Sweetwater Mining Company. Incorporated in New York in 1979. No. 90 issued on February 2, 1880 to E. N. Robinson for 100 shares. Signed by president Eugene N. Robinson. One vignette of a native american holding a spear on the bottom left side. No border, text is black. Stock is U/C, printed by American Bank Note Co. Certificate measures 8" x 5.5".
