Rare! Lot of 2 stocks, 1 prospectus and 1 pamphlet. 1) Wild Goose Mining Copmany Stock; incorporated in 1880. Certificate No. 1001. Unissued stock. Black border and vignette of two geese, one black and one white, in the top right corner. Purple ink stamp on the lefthand side of stock reads "from A. L. Bancroft & Co's Bank & Official Department, 721 Market St. San Francisco, Cal." Printed by A.L. Bancroft & Co. Certificate measures 10"x5.5". 2) Mill and Mining Company Stock; Incorporated in 1874. Certificate No. 515 issued on August 25, 1875 to Geo G. Walins Jr. For 500 shares. Signed by secretary illegible and president C. James. No vignettes. Simple black border. U/C, printed by H. S. Crocker & Co., Printers. Certificate measures 9.5"4.25". 3) Victoria Gold Mine Prospectus. Humboldt County, Nevada. Four page booklet. Publisher and date not indicated. Part of the introduction reads "In line with the great advance made in mining within the last five years, the STATE OF NEVADA deserves special mention because of its many and great successes which have been brought forward during that time.…. It is in such mines that the greatest hope of the mining investor now rests." The prospectus goes on to discuss the yeild profit of various mines in Nevada, the quality of the Victoria Quartz Mine's prime location. It goes through some of the mining history of the location and the geological properties of the mine itself. Later, the prospectus suggests what more development should be made in order to yeild the most prosperous results. 4) Pacific Consolidated Gold and Silver Mining Company, Santa Rosa District, Humboldt County, N. T. Pamphlet lists location of Ledges in the Santa Rosa District where persons holding Certificates of location should call the Office of the Company, Healdsburg, to receive their stock certificates due to an assessment levied.
