Lot of 2. 1). Measures 2.75" x 9.75" from the Savage Mine Company, as per C. Foreman. The receipt is for two packages of bullion from Piute Mill. The packages weighed 226 pounds. The signing assayer was Conrad Wiegand, as per C. Sherme.

Wiengand was an early Comstock period assayer who worked in Virginia City during Samuel Clemens time there.

There is a R6 R2 2c orange revenue stamp that has been franked on the top left corner of the document. The condition is very good, although the upper right hand corner. 2). Receipt from the Yellow Jacket Silver Mining Company, also signed by Wiegands and Sherme. This receipt is for 114.75 pounds of bullion from the Silver Star Mill. The piece measures 12” x 7” and is in excellent condition.
