No. 57 issued July 12, 1880 for 50 shares. Signed by President J.J. Cooper and Secretary W.W. Scogin. U/C. In 1874, the Dayton Mine was noted to be 450 feet deep Gold was found in Dayton in 1849. Nevada's population stood at only 1,000 people between 1849 and 1859.
