1 3/8” yellow chip with 4 green checks. Very clean and in excellent condition with sharp edges. The Tahoe Biltmore was built in 1946 and underwent a few name changes before becoming the Tahoe Biltmore again in 1986. In 1951 it became the Cal-Neva Biltmore, and in 1958 it was renamed the Nevada Lodge when it was purchased by Meta and Lincoln Fitzgerald, who came to Reno via Detroit in 1946 after having run the underground Chesterfield Club there. In 1985, the Biltmore changed hands again and was renamed its original 1946 name. As each new owner took over the chips changed with the management [Ref: Anderson, Allan, “Tahoe Biltmore, A Brief History and Mary,” 2003]. Extremely rare, not known until the Fitzgerald Collection surfaced several years ago. We sold the only other example at that time. As of 2009, unlisted in Campiglia & Wells.
