Lot of 8 silver bearing ore specimens from Clark and Nye Counties, NV. The Au-Ag-Pb-Cu ore consists of argentite, tetrahedrite, and galena dominantly within both calcite, dolomite, and quartz veins. In one slabbed sample pseudomorphs of quartz after platy calcite - indicative of boiling conditions in these hydrothermal systems - is obvious. Sample locations include the Perry Mine of the Fencemaker Mining District within the Humboldt Range, the Illinios Mine of Ellsworth, NV, and the Techatticup Mine of Eldorado Canyon - which from 1857 to 1863 produced between $2-3 million dollars of ore. This lot also includes a number of supergene samples of cerrargyrite froom both the Illinois and Montgomery-Shoshone Mines and other unknown locales within Nye County.
