A group of 9 warrants from the Controller’s Office in Carson City, Nevada, dating from 1869 to 1882, and measuring 9.5x5.25”.

1) #272 issued February 20, 1869 from the “Legislatine” Fund to the order of JM Anderson for $216. Two vignettes: on the upper right an eagle with a shield flying over a mining scene and on the lower left a miner with an American flag overlooking a mountainous valley with a mining scene below. On the left edge is “State Controllers Warrant.” Stamped in ink horizontally through the middle is “Issued under act of January 5, 1869, bearing interest at the rate of fifteen per cent per annum.” Endorsed.

2) #277 issued April 1, 1872 from the General Fund pay to the order of LA Buckner $625. Two vignettes: on the upper right an eagle with a shield flying over a mining scene and on the lower left a miner with an American flag overlooking a mountainous valley with a mining scene below. On the left edge is “State Controllers Warrant.” Stamped in ink horizontally through the middle is “Issued under act of January 5, 1869, bearing interest at the rate of fifteen per cent per annum.” Endorsed.

3) # 780 issued February 14th, 1873 from the Legislative Fund to the order of OH Grey for $56. Two vignettes: on the upper right a train traveling through the mining countryside with working miners in the foreground and mines in the background; on the right edge a shaft with miners lowering a bucket to other miners at the bottom of a shaft. Unendorsed.

4) #780 issued July 24, 1874 from the State School Fund to the order of SN Day for $40. Two vignettes: on the upper right a train traveling through the mining countryside with working miners in the foreground and mines in the background; on the right edge a shaft with miners lowering a bucket to other miners at the bottom of a shaft. Red ink stamped three times on face “currency.”

5) #3052 issued November 17, 1879 from the General Fund to the order of JE Benson for $70. lack ink on yellow paper.
