Maples, Secretary; printed by Goes; U/C; 2. “Announcement”: eight-page booklet measuring 4.75x9” on grey paper stock; no date of issue but the financial statement for January 1, 1915 is included. Other topics in the pamphlet: Officers and Directors, Announcement, History, Report of Robert W. Hunt & Co. (consulting engineers), Power Line, Etc., Water System, Present Equipment, New Equipment, Report of F.E. Marble mining began in the hills south of Beatty in 1904. These original samples were too fractured; however, about seven years later, better quality deposits were located and the town was soon laid out. Serviced by the Las Vegas and Tonopah Railroad, by May 1913 the town was officially dedicated. The company built a spur railway enabling marble to be efficiently brought to the main line. By 1917 earning were dropping and by 1924 the post office had closed
