Here is a more unusual piece of handpainted Nippon--a spoon holder. The flowers (anemones?) are beautiful tones of orange with a brown contrast background above them. The two handles are decorated with gold paint in perfect condition, as is the gold rim. In fact, this dish is in near mint to mint condition. The stamp on the bottom is the green M (see photo).
