Colonel by war’s end, participating in both battles of Saratoga, and the battles of Monmouth and Yorktown. He was an intimate friend of Alexander Hamilton and high in George Washington’s confidence. Partly printed DS “N Fish,” an ornate bank check drawn on Mechanics’ Bank in the amount of $111.00 signed as city treasurer. Printed on one side with arm and hammer with branches emblem at left margin. Ink somewhat uneven; light general toning; minor foxing; slit cancellation touching signature of no affect; otherwise VG<b>.</b></span></p>
