1922 SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 29949C. Bbl. 4 3/8". Model 1922 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Fabrique Nationale while under German occupation circa. January 1944 to August 1944. Left side of the slide exhibits standard FN factory markings, with the addition of 2 Eagle/WaA140 proofs and a "(H)" Heer proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon blade front sight on slide extension, with dovetailed V-notch rear sight on slide. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, slide extension, and bbl., with all but the slide matching via "9949C". MAGS: 1 9-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, showing some spots of light to mild wear and thinning overall. Grip straps exhibit light thinning with scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as a few superficial marks from handle and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (25-3739/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
