Ink and watercolour on fan. Featuring horses along with Chinese script calligraphy. Signed and attr. Ni Tian (Chinese, 1855-1919) and inscribed with artist seals on both sides; carved floral sprays in low relief on fan guards. H: 32 cm, 54 grams. Born as Baotian, courtesy name Mogeng, sobriquet as Modaoren and Biyuehezhu, Ni Tian was a Chinese painter during the Qing Dynasty and early years of the Chinese Republic Period
