Shah Alam II (AH 1174-1221/1759-1806 AD), Shahjahanabad Dar-ul-Khilafa Mint, Gold Mohur, AH (11)88/15 RY, "Saya-e-fazle elah" Couplet, Obv: Persian legend "sikka zad bar haft kishwar sayaye fazle elah, hami-e-dine Muhammad Shah Alam Badshah", chhatra mint mark, Rev: Persian legends "sana 15 julus" & "zarb Shahjahanabad" with the epithet "Dar ul khilafa" at the top,(Variant of KM # 719, Chhatra mint mark & date is unlisted), superb lustre, very attractive, graded & slabbed by NGC as MS63, Very Rare.
Note: This date and the Chhatra mint mark are not listed in KM. This gold coin type with the Chhatra mint mark, struck at Shahjahanabad, is uncommon and of a rare type.
