1897-Dated, First Edition. Hardcover Book titled, “New York in the Revolution As Colony and State, These Records Were Discovered, Arranged and classified by James A. Roberts. Roberts, James.” Weed-Parsons Printing Company, Albany, New York, Choice Very Fine.
This impressive original First Edition is Folio size, over 12" - 15" tall, 257 pages. Tipped into the book with the Title Page is a handwritten presentation statement "COMPLIMENTS OF JOTHAM P ALLDS, MEMBER OF ASSEMBLY, CHINANGO COUNTY NEW YORK” and Signed in Allds' own hand. Some of the Revolutionary War period papers discovered of which copies are included in this book, are the Muster and Pay Rolls of different organizations, the significance is that these documents show that New York provided one and a half times the number of troops to with which it is usually credited.

These historic pages include the name, rank, and organization of 41,633 men. It includes numerous illustrations and photos of documents. Illustrated with a fold out “Map of Schoharie and Mohawk Valleys, Showing the Route Traversed by Col. Sir John Johnson in his Raid of October, 1780.” The interior pages and map in excellent shape. Beautiful blue beveled boards with gold stamped pictorial design, top page edges gilt (gold), couple minor water blemishes to edges of cover otherwise in great condition. Pages are uncut, etc. Rare and an important, interesting compendium of NEW YORK Revolutionary War information.
