NAUTICAL BINNACLE: A magnetic compass chamber with a Max Kuner 0 -360 degree compass, included as part of the chamber, are bar holders and a pair of arms supporting the quadrantal spheres. The magnets, Finders bar and sphere are used in compensating the compass. The dome portion rotates and is removable. An attached plate states ''A U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships No.3-5 Domehead. Contract No. Nx's 11126 Binnacle, Beck Lee Corp, Chicago, U.S.A.'' The item is numbered 84961. The rim of the compass contains the name E.S. Ritcher? & Sons, Boston. The dome chamber is mounted on an octagon wood plinth. Overall width including arms 20'', 10 ¼'' high including base which is 7/8''. Untested. Note: This is only the dome portion and not the full Binnacle.
