<B>NATIVE WIRE SILVER ON MATRIX</B></I><BR> <I>Imiter Mine, Boumalne-Dadès, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco</B></I><BR>Native silver in any form is rare but wire silvers are even more so. This superb specimen of crystallized wire silver from the recent finds in Morocco (mined in 2006) has hundreds of shimmering native silver wires erupting like flames from a brown-black acanthite matrix. Acanthite is a silver sulfide - thus you have silver wires growing out of a silver mineral. It is unusual to find silver wire specimens preserved on matrix with such an aesthetic presentation. This extremely fine specimen measures 2 inches wide x 2 3/8 inches high and is 1 ¾ inches deep.
