<B>NATIVE GOLD CRYSTALS</B></I><BR> <I>Eagle's Nest Mine, Michigan Bluff District, Placer County, California</B></I><BR>The Eagle's Nest Mine is mined primarily for crystallized gold specimens. Some of the claims which make up the Eagle's Nest mine date back to the early 1900s. The trace element profiles, from all of the claims, are remarkably consistent, suggesting that the gold was deposited during the same mineralogical event. The fineness is almost always between 870 and 880, with silver being the dominant impurity. This fine native gold specimen has flattened octahedrons extending into thin dendritic plates. It's bright, well crystallized form clearly identifies it as being from this renowned gold mine.
