LARGE LAKE TROUT. John Waldo Nash, Norway, Maine Taxidermist; late 19th, early 20th century. Known for his patent "Trout Mezzo" technique of mounting fish. The colorful trout mounted on a convex oak board. The Mezzo Technique is the application of the original skin of the fish including the complete skull which is then attached to the pre-shaped board, painted then varnished.
