NAMEPLATE "TRACK 29". As carried by the British Railways Type 4 2580 H.P. CoCo diesel electric D1612 built at Crewe, emerging to traffic on 21st August 1964. It was renumbered 47479 Class 47/4 in October 1973, and named on 27th July 1990 at the National Railway Museum by Councillor Keith Wood, Lord Mayor of York, to launch the new BR parcels service. The nameplates were removed in September 1992 when the locomotive was withdrawn. Rectangular cast aluminium, 33 1/2"x10", in ex-loco condition.
