Ames NCO sword (no scabbard), hilt dated 1848 (Cabotville) and US, approx. 39” overall with a 32” blade, in overall good condition showing frosty finish to blade with scattered erosion areas, good markings, dark patina on brass guard, grip and pommel with “W.D.” and “J.W.R.” inspectors’ marks on guard. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence.
