A nice Mycenaean stirrup jar, Late Helladic IIIC, c. 1200 BC, the rounded body with raised disk foot, narrow spout with flared rim and a pair of loop handles. The vessels are nicely decorated with concentric bands and circles in brown slip. H: 4 ¼ in (10.8 cm). A pleasing example! Ex Los Angeles collection; Ex Jerusalem Gallery with copies of export documents.
