Great example of mid-century modernist Italian glass. The "tutti frutti" design is attributed to Dino Martens of A.V.E.M. in the 1940s, This piece is attributed to Vittorio Ferro and was probably made at Vetreria Fratelli Toso during the 1950s. Blown dark brown glass was layered with silver adventurine foil. It was then layered with pieces of multi-colored canes and ultimately cased entirely in a layer of clear glass.
